EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL PRACTICE AREAS:
Mr. Vera is in charge of firm exposures and recruiting. Has over 13 years of experience in public accounting in assurance, tax and advisory services. Mr. Vera has an extensive experience in nonprofit entities, Universities and small and medium size entities advisory services. As a part of our advisory services division has been involved in litigation support as expert witness and loss profit reports.
As part of our tax division, Mr. Vera has been involved in business and individual tax planning, preparation of request for tax incentives and exemptions, clients’ assistance in tax investigations by governmental authorities, estates and fiduciary planning and returns.
Mr. Vera has also been involved in the accounting system design and operation, structuring purchase and sale of a business, assistance in obtaining financing, labors laws advisory, forensic accounting and fraud detention, insurance claims, purchase and sales contract.
Mr. Vera is a former president and active member of the Puerto Rico CPA Society / Mayagüez Chapter. He is also an active member of the Puerto Rico CPA Society Board of Directors and former Director of the Board for 2011-2015 and also has been part over severe committees as member and/or president.
